Kamala Harris Leads Trump in Pennsylvania and Michigan
Kamala Harris Leads Trump: Vice President Kamala Harris is leading former President Donald Trump in the critical battleground states of Pennsylvania and Michigan, according to a recent poll from Quinnipiac University. Harris holds a significant 5-point lead in both Pennsylvania (51% to 45%) and Michigan (50% to 45%). However, the race is much tighter in Wisconsin, with Harris leading by just 1 percentage point (48% to 47%).
In addition to Harris and Trump, Green Party candidate Jill Stein and Libertarian Party candidate Chase Oliver each garnered 1-2% support in these states. These small third-party candidates are unlikely to have a large impact but could sway the outcome in such closely contested races.
Pollsters highlight that key issues like the economy and inflation remain top concerns for voters across these states. In particular, Trump holds a stronger position among voters who prioritize the economy, with 58% of Michigan voters who view the economy as a top issue favoring Trump over Harris.
Both candidates are fighting to secure the so-called “blue wall” states—Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Wisconsin—pivotal in the 2016 and 2020 elections. Trump won all three states in 2016, but they flipped to Biden in 2020, making them crucial battlegrounds in the 2024 race(
With election day approaching, the results in these states could play a decisive role in determining the next U.S. president, as neither candidate can afford to lose all three.
