China Tests J-35 Stealth Fighter

China is stepping up its military capabilities by testing its new stealth fighter jet, the J-35, for its third and most advanced aircraft carrier, Fujian. Fujian is equipped with an electromagnetic catapult system unlike China’s earlier carriers, allowing the J-35 to take off more efficiently than the ski-jump ramps used on older carriers. This stealth fighter, designed to rival the U.S. F-35, promises to strengthen China’s naval aviation.

The J-35 had its first trial runs on the Liaoning carrier earlier this year and is now undergoing tests to ensure its integration with Fujian’s state-of-the-art systems. Fujian is China’s largest aircraft carrier and marks a significant shift in China’s naval strategy, enabling it to project power further across the Pacific. Military experts believe this could be a game-changer in the region, with the J-35 enhancing China’s deterrent and combat capabilities.

China currently operates two carriers, Liaoning and Shandong, but Fujian is their first fully domestically designed carrier, expected to be fully operational in the coming years. The J-35’s development is part of China’s broader goal to modernize its military and expand its influence in global waters.
